Abstract
Production logging can be used in both production and injection wells. The tools can be run under dynamic (flowing) or static (shut in) conditions. With proper interpretation, production type, production intervals, and flow rates can be determined.
You may use production logging on your injectors or you may use it on producers that are communicating with or in the vicinity of injectors. Typical components in PL surveys are temperature, pressure, rate, holdup, gamma ray and CCL. It is generally an effective, but expensive method, of identifying flow distribution.
